Robert Groysman, MD, is a specialist in interventional pain management and anesthesiology who provides exceptional services at Southwest Pain Management in Irving, Texas, for patients experiencing chronic pain.
Dr. Groysman graduated from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey, then completed his internship training in family medicine. He became fascinated by anesthesiology after witnessing the relief an epidural provided for his wife when she was in labor, and soon after he enrolled in an anesthesiology residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
During his residency, Dr. Groysman rotated through pain management and interventional pain management and has been working as a pain specialist ever since. In 2008, Dr. Groysman moved to Plano, Texas, with his family. While working in anesthesia in Cleburne, Texas, he spearheaded an extensive regional anesthesia and nerve block program based around using ultrasound guidance for optimal accuracy in the delivery of anesthetic medications.
Dr. Groysman uses conservative pain management approaches wherever possible, including fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided steroid injections and medications. He also works in collaboration with specialists in other fields including chiropractors, rheumatologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, and spine surgeons, all of whom have made a contribution to improving the patient experience of chronic pain.
